Sustainability as a driver of innovation

Recent legislation and a general change in the thinking of our customers and decision-makers mean that sustainability is now more important than ever. As part of our holistic approach, we take the entire lifecycle of our products into account: from the extraction and production of raw materials to the design, manufacture and use of the products, and finally recycling. At the same time, we are always trying to optimise the energy efficiency of our equipment.

Procurement

When sourcing raw materials, processed materials and components for manufacturing our products, we check that our suppliers work according to our principles.

Design and production

Careful use of energy and raw materials is an important aspect during design and production. Also, the longevity of our products and the prevention of waste and surplus material help us to achieve the goals we set ourselves.

Recycling

Another key aspect that we consider is what happens when our products reach the end of their service life. The focus here is on separating the raw materials in them to ensure that they can be recycled. Because of their high content of various types of stainless steel and other metals, a good degree of recycling is guaranteed.
